3 Day Weekend
What a fun 3 day weekend we had!
Sam was in Birmingham visiting Grammie and Pa and picking up Tux.
Fiona was with her dad this weekend.
So, Ashlyn and Laurie were busy partying!
First we spent Friday evening playing with Ashlyn's best friend Grace, her sister Mackenzie, and their parents. We had lots of fun, even though Ashlyn had to take it easy, and couldn't do all the cartwheels and running and jumping that she wanted to, due to her toe still being in the process of healing.
Saturday was violin practice, mother daughter lunch, a little shopping, and then LILY'S SLEEPOVER BIRTHDAY PARTY!!!
Boy was that lots of fun!
Seven 8 thru 11 year old girls doing crafts, making pizzas, watching movies, and playing until 1am.
Sunday we went to the Cupcake Collection so Laurie could mark another cupcakery off her list. Then we headed home to relax for the rest of the day.
Monday we cleaned house and then went to see Wreck It Ralph! What a fun movie!
But alas, now it's Tuesday and we're all back to our busy routines.
We love you all and hope everyone had a great weekend!

Big toe, little surgery
Poor Ashlyn had an ingrown toenail on her left big toe. We tried soaking it and treating it with Neosporin for a couple of weeks but it wasn't getting any better.
Yesterday we went to the Podiatrist and he took care of it for us!
Ashlyn was such a trooper with her "little surgery" and only cried a tiny bit when she got two shots in her big toe (I can't lie, at 34 years old I would have cried about that too!).
She got to stay home with mommy yesterday, watching movies and relaxing on the sofa, and is now on the road to recovery.
Great job for being so brave Ashlyn!

Congratulations Girls!
Hello friends and family! Happy Friday!
We have some big news to report this week for both Fiona AND Ashlyn!
Fiona auditioned for My Fair Limey at school.
She won the role of Sally.
We can't wait to help her with her lines and watch it all pay off at the opening night of her play!
And, as you can see, she made the Principal's list! There was a ceremony to honor the students with outstanding achievements during the 2nd report card period. Ashlyn was presented with her Principal's List award.
Congats girls! Keep up the good work!

Closing out Christmas Break
It's 2013 - Happy New Year!
With the holiday season complete, all the ladies in the house decided to close out Christmas break with a trip to Opryland Hotel. Here are a few pictures from our trip:
Unfortunately, Sam had to head back in to the office today, so he couldn't join us.
Tomorrow starts the normal weekly routine for the ladies -
Ashlyn is excited to head back to school.
However, Fiona isn't so thrilled.
I (Laurie) am indifferent - it's been SO GREAT to spend so much time with my babies, but it will be nice to get back in the swing of things. We'd gotten a bit lazy over the last few days. Oops!
