Where has the summer gone?

Woah! We blinked and it was the middle of August!

What have we been up to lately?

Well, the girls are back in school. 

Laurie is finishing up her internship.

And Sam is busy with work projects. 

Over the last 3 weeks we've been busy packing and prepping the townhouse so that we could list it on the market (HUGE thank you to everyone involved for your help in this). 

Last Thursday, August 15, the listing went live (and the pictures of our place looked fantastic). We have an open house on Sunday and are keeping our fingers crossed that potential buyers are impressed.

So, what's the progress on our new house, you ask?

Well, the brick, stone and trim are all complete. They're waiting on a dry day to lay the concrete for the driveway and sidewalk (it has been raining day after day after day in Middle TN). 

The hardwood has been laid on both the upstairs and downstairs floors. 

The trim and the walls (first coat) were painted, just yesterday (Laurie LOVES the way the colors look, by the way. She did pick them out, after all). 

We can't wait to see the tile, cabinets, and granite going in soon. 

Coming up in the next few weeks...

We are looking forward to celebrating Ashlyn's birthday at Nashville Shores next weekend AND somewhere special on Labor Day weekend (shhhh...it's a surprise!).
